Tap to lock
Hold your phone to the device. Those apps lock. Calls, messages and maps keep working.

On a shelf, in a bag, by the door. The short walk is usually enough to change your mind.

Tap again to unlock
Walk to your device and tap your phone on it. That's the only everyday way back in.
