Help · 2 steps
Phone won't read the device
Your phone talks to the device with the tap-to-pay chip, called NFC. If nothing happens when you tap, NFC is usually off or blocked.
Step 1 of 2
Is NFC on?
If the app says Turn on NFC, tap Open Settings. Or swipe down and tap the NFC tile. iPhone's NFC is always on. It reads only after you tap lock, unlock or pair in the app.
Turn on NFC
It's in Settings. Tap-to-pay uses it too.

Step 2 of 2
Hold it in the right spot
Lay the back on the device. Every phone's spot differs: slide slowly, starting near the camera. Rest the top edge of your iPhone flat on the device.

Did it work?
If yes, you're all set. If not, pick what you see.
Fix · I have a thick case
Take the case off
Metal, magnet or very thick cases can block it. Take the case off and try again.
Fix · It says “No NFC on this phone.”
Check this phone has it
It has no tap-to-pay chip. Most phones made after 2018 have one, so try another phone. Every iPhone that can install the Pauzie Device app has it. Keep the app open and try again.

Fix · Settings is blocked and NFC is off
Use quick settings
Lock Settings in My Rules blocks the Settings app. Swipe down from the top and tap NFC instead. iPhone doesn't need NFC switched on.
Fix · It says “Not a Pauzie Device.”
Remove other cards
Your phone read another card, like a bank card in your phone case. Remove it and try again.
